My mathematical Past

I don't have much memories of my interests in   Math  when I started school and  in my primary years, but I  know  that I began liking it once I moved to the middle  school. I remember my grade   7th Math teacher who was really  affectionate , kind and very  hard working ;  she always  spent a lot of time working on each subjects and after the lessons she made sure that we all understood the material before ending the class . She was the one who really made me start enjoying Math  and i nspired me  to think about getting to know Math even more and better . Instrumental vs. Relational Understanding

When I was reading  Skemp’s lengthy article, the first thing that triggered my thoughts  and got me stopped for awhile was the fact that I had never thought about understating math distinctively, and by reading the article, I realized that I did learn a lot about relational and instrumental understanding / mathematics and  the difference between them, the  two terms which were completely came  new to me at the beginning of the article. Soon I  realized that; yes, there are in fact two different approaches to the teaching/learning mathematics.
